UK Music Video Awards 2018: less than two weeks to entry deadline for UKMVAs!
The deadline for entries to the UK Music Video Awards 2018 is now less than two weeks away, with invitations to submit in over 30 categories at this year's UKMVAs, open until midnight (BST) on Wednesday, August 1st.
Once again at the UK Music Video Awards – the premier awards show celebrating the best work in music videos from the UK and around the world – there are honours for best British and International videos, in each music genre: pop, dance, urban, rock, and alternative. There are five more Newcomer awards for videos by new directors for £6K or less, in each of those music genres.
There are also eight awards recognising technical excellence, in animation, choreography, cinematography, colour grading, Editing, Production design, Styling and VFX; plus honours for Best Interactive video, Best Live Video and Best Live Concert. There are also the Individual award categories – for best director, new director, producer, commissioner, and music artist, and the award for best production company.
The UK Music Video Awards 2018 website is now accepting entries for the following awards:

Best New Director
All entered work (including work cited in the individual and best production company entries) must have been completed and delivered to its commissioner between August 1st 2017 and July 31st 2018 – so work completed and approved up to and including July 31st will be eligible for this year’s UKMVAs, but not after that date.

After the entry deadline, the first round of judging for the UK Music Video Awards 2018 will take place in August, with invited MVA Jury Members judging all the entries via the MVAs online voting platform in the first round of judging. A second round of judging will follow, with the nominations for this year's UKMVAs will be announced on September 27th.
