Pedro Martìn-Calero joins Colonel Blimp for videos and commercials
Young Madrid-based director Pedro Martìn-Calero has signed to Colonel Blimp in London for representation for music video and commercial projects.
Pedro originally started his career as a cinematographer after studying at the ECAM in Madrid, then moving into directing, and in 2011 directed his first music video. His work is characterised by striking imagery and, in the case of his exceptional video for Territoire's Blanc (pictured), an intense and disquieting atmosphere.
"Pedro will be a great talent at Colonel Blimp, he really fits into the ethos of where we're heading next," says Colonel Blimp's new head of music video Nathan James. "His video Blanc really made me sit up and take notice of his work. The tone he created in the film had me feeling on edge once I'd watched it. Because of that I contacted him the same afternoon and signed him."
