UK Music Video Awards 2020: CHEAT sponsoring Best Colour Grade in a Video at UKMVAs for sixth time
Top London grading and finishing studio CHEAT is partnering with the UK Music Video Awards once again, sponsoring Best Colour Grading In A Video at the UKMVAs 2020.
Having sponsored one of the top awards among the UKMVAs' Technical Achievement honours for the past five years, confirmation of CHEAT's continued support of the music video industry's top awards show means that the company will be sponsoring Best Colour Grading In A Video at the UKMVAs for the sixth time.
"The UKMVAs are a highlight in the CHEAT calendar every year, celebrating the blood, sweat, Zoom meetings and tears that go into music videos," says CHEAT's founder and chief colourist Toby Tomkins. "We are delighted to sponsor Best Colour Grading once again, and excited for the opportunity to come together with our friends in recognising the hard work that goes into this industry.
"As budgets fall and expectations remain the same during the pandemic, we stay committed to collaborating with immensely talented directors, DOPs, producers, and more, to deliver bold work that compliments the daring ideas we see in music videos... despite the limitations of COVID-19! We would like to wish everyone the best of luck for this year's awards. Let's party!"
Tomkins launched CHEAT in 2014, and has overseen its growth to being a leading name in colour grading and finishing in London, with a global reputation. Working in all forms of moving image media, from music videos and commercials, to features and TV series, CHEAT's roster of colourists use their craft to elevate the visual experience, bringing bold vision with artistic sensitivity to deliver exceptional award winning work.
Tomkins' leads a team of senior colourists - Tim Smith and Jack McGinity - whose work has been recognised at the UKMVAS, MTV Music Video Awards, British Arrows, BAFTA, the Oscars, and more. The roster is completed by colourist Vlad Barin and junior colourist Karol Cybulski.
Entry is now open to the Best Colour Grading In A Video award, and and over 30 other awards, via the UK Music Video Awards website, where you can find full information on all the categories and how to enter.
