Blindeye Films have welcomed Blake Claridge to their roster of directors for music videos.

Claridge, who will be represented by Carrie Sutton for music videos, cut his teeth from the late Noughties onwards, with videos for The Subways, The Ramona Flowers and Martin Garrix ft Dua Lipa and others. He has gone on to make commercials for Adidas, Ebay, Mastercard, and many more - and occasionally returning to make videos, including Lost Frequencies' Truth Never Lies ft Aloe Blacc.

"We're thrilled to welcome award-winning Director Blake Claridge into the Blindeye family," says Blindeye MD Jack Lightfoot. "As well as an extremely impressive catalogue of work, Blake's passion, enthusiasm, and excitement towards film-making was a real draw for us - he loves reviewing briefs and delights in the challenges of elevating an idea to the next level.

"It's no surprise that Blake's skill set has seen his projects receive numerous nominations - and victories - for awards such as Cannes Lions, Webby's, UKMVA's and MTV. We're double excited to have Blake on board and can't wait to start collaborating - a very exciting start to 2021 for Blindeye."

I feel that I can really focus back on this again, continue to raise my game and prove myself in this medium.

Claridge adds. "I've only done a handful of music videos in the past few years because I've been working in an ad agency and had different projects to focus on there. That and children and a mortgage, oh and a global pandemic, life has certainly been adjusting. But now I feel that I can really focus back on this again, continue to raise my game and really prove myself in this medium.

"After leaving the agency I’d been looking into production representation for both commercials and music but I wasn’t in a hurry, as I wanted to make the right decision. I think this was certainly a repercussion of the pandemic for me, a chance to stop and re-evaluate. After speaking with many different people and production companies, my heart was to go with a smaller, more ambitious company that I could be part of the narrative.

"When Blindeye got in contact with me I was immediately intrigued. I've known about Jack, his work and the company for a while and when I noticed that Carrie was now repping them, I had to get that ball rolling. I’ve missed music videos and I am super excited to start working with Blindeye, as they are part of this new path for me.

"Cutting my teeth in the world of music videos, I came from a place where you get the most out of a challenging brief and budget and work out ways of how to get things done. Blindeye for me have a great reputation and fit into that ethos of working. With Carrie and Jack behind me now, I feel confident that we are going to produce some great work."
