UKMVA New Director winner Aube Perrie joins Pulse Films
Pulse Films has announced the signing of Aube Perrie, winner of Best New Director at the recent UK Music Video Awards, for both music video and commercial representation in the UK and US.
At the UKMVAs earlier this month, Perrie won the prestigious Best New Director award and also Best International Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Video with his hilarious video for Megan Thee Stallion’s Thot Shit, which combines with rapper's brazen sexuality with political satire.
Prior to this, Perrie directed music videos for American DJ MK, as well as various European artists, including Belgian singer-songwriter Angèle and French band L'Impératrice, duo VIDEOCLUB and DJs Petit Biscuit and Møme. For his vidoe for MK's Chemical, Perrie also recently won Gold for ‘New Talent In Direction’ at the 2021 Ciclope Festival.
Aube Perrie has said of signing to Pulse: "You meet the people; you look at the work and you can tell that everyone at Pulse is guided by a brilliant creative culture and purpose. Likeminded people at a very passionate level. A hyper-talented family on a creative journey I'm very excited to join!"
James Sorton, MD of Commercials & Music Videos at Pulse Films says: “Aube is an exceptional new talent with a unique creative vision and perspective. He’s made two of the hottest music videos of the last year, is super smart and creates intelligent, memorable and timeless work. We are thrilled that he is joining the Pulse Films roster."
Rik Green, Head of Music Videos at Pulse adds: "[Aube's] work is playful, provocative, wild and all with a knack for story-telling. This marks him as one of the most interesting directors to be working with in music videos and I can't wait to see what we do next."
