Imelda May 'Wild Woman' by Lindy Heymann
Imelda May casts off the confines of her secretarial uniform to channel her inner rebel in Lindy Heymann's promo for new single Wild Woman.
Imelda raids Lindy's dressing-up box to become various characters and at one point her and the band flirt with a spot of androgeny. It's all good fun...
LINDY HEYMANN
"I've worked with Imelda once before and I know that she's an artist who has a strong sense of herself and her own style. There's a contagious energy that comes from the song and real attitude. It inspired me to think of of the 'wild woman' trapped in us all.
"I thought it would be cool to see Imelda as an uptight secretary who transforms into various 50's style pin-up characters, such as a cavewoman and Catwoman. At one point she even becomes an androgynous male biker. Imelda's very blokey band were even up for demonstrating aspects of their feminine alter-egos by wearing stilettos and false finger nails whilst they played.
"I like working with Imelda. She's a great performer and actually extremely versatile, and I hope that we've captured this in the video."
