DC Breaks 'If This Is Love' by Tom Gorst
After his biker video for Benny Page, Tom Gorst has directed another freewheeling drama-doc style video for DC Breaks' If This Is Love, in which three friends aim to get some of those crucial summer festival vibes without the hassle of paying for tickets, or anything else.
In scenes that are not necessarily recommended when heading to Glastonbury, the trio prepare fake VIP passes, steal booze from their employers, and head down for the West Country... and they manage blag their way in. The rest of the video - shot at Love Saves The Day festival in May – shows them having the time of their lives, despite a realistic-looking close encounter with the law...
TOM GORST:
"I wrote the treatment for this whilst looking out on a miserable and rainy London, longing for the summer to get underway. With a small crew of three, we worked on a kind of docu/fiction borderline, placing actors in a real situation and improvising to create a realistic festival experience."
