Fast Romantics 'Julia' by Matthew Angus
If you think great dancing started with Michael Jackson, and nothing can compare to Maddy in Chandelier... this one's for you.
Mattthew Angus, bandmember of the Toronto-based Fast Romantics, created a lyric video for the band's song Julia, adding lyrics to movie footage of the great Fred Astaire. Now Angus has gone a stage further: he's incorporated the band itself into one of Astaire's most celebrated dance sequences - his ceiling dance from the movie Royal Wedding.
He's done a great job. Integrating the band with Astaire really works, and it also arguably serves a higher purpose - reminding us, of this godlike, timeless genius of dance. Eat your heart out Maddy.
