Architects 'A Match Made In Heaven' by Stuart Birchall
Stuart Birchall has paired again with British metalcore Architects for A Match Made In Heaven, a politically-engaged music video with an aim to question Western foreign policy issues and also turn a critical spotlight on the materialistic aspects of Western culture.
The video features footage of warfare amongst symbolic shots of people being covered in what appears to be crude oil...
"This was a very important project for me, I have been friends with the band for many years and seeing them grow as people and watching this translated into their music has been inspiring.
"The layered themes in the film are very important to both myself and the band, any opportunity to express ourselves as filmmakers/musicians in questioning the corruption and challenging mainstream ideology, I believe is our duty. The majority of indoctrination and ideology is established through media and there needs to be more balance and education from independent voices who have an audience, if we can do that and still entertain, this is a very potent medium for expression.
"The film is not about nations or nationality, it is about cause and effect and the Hegelian dialectics often used by some media frameworks to condition reactions and opinions. The film is designed to spark interest and open discussions around the themes in the track and coming album, the most important response, in my opinion, is that people ask more questions, research and think for themselves, our aim is to contribute to those discussion on some level."
