MeTube 2: August sings Carmina Burana by Daniel Moshel
'Ho boy, get ready to have your mind blown, again. In 2013 German team MeTube – that’s Daniel Moshel and August Schram – came up with their surprising take on Carmen’s Habanera, a lo-fi home video performance that turns into a techno track in a gay rubber-fetish club.
Now, they've upped the ante - twenty-fold, it must be said - for the choral blockbuster Carmina Burana. Taking the act outdoors onto a Munich tourist spot, the video is a mix of living statues, gimp constumes and continual visual surprises to handicam footage. Just excellent!
