Feist 'Pleasure' by Mary Rozzi
Pleasure, Leslie Feist's first album in six years, is introduced with a video for the title track that keeps things simple, but is also slightly unnerving.
Mary Rozzi's video begins with Feist's hand transformed into a distorted claw, demonstrating the chords of the opening of the song. What follows is a strightforward lipsync (and air-guitar) performance through the same slightly distorted prism - like Rozzi's camera (she is also the DoP) is capturing Feist reflected in another less than perfect mirror (or Mylar). It makes for a compelling watch.
