Popcaan 'Firm And Strong' by Nabil Elderkin
From a derelict compound to a country church, Jamaican superstar Popcaan cuts a thoughtful figure in Nabil's powerful, slowburning epic for Firm And Strong.
Shot in Popcaan's hometown of Kingston, there's plenty of references to his hallowed place in the community, and also a sense of his personal responsibility, as he drives past waving schoolchildren and given an unofficial motorcade of local outriders.
This majestic piece of work was lensed by Galo Olivares (from the Oscar and BAFTA-winning Roma) and is Popcaan's first music video since signing to Drake's OVO Music. It's also the first collaboration between Nabil Elderkin and producer Luti Fagbenle. ‘I’ve wanted to collaborate with Nabil for years, and we finally made it happen," says Luti. "I love the result".
