Chase And Status ft Irah 'Program' by Taichi Kimura
As Chase & Status mine their history to bring us the banging ragga-infused jungle tune Program, Taichi Kimura pulls off a suitably old school dance video.
It's a combination of brooding atmosphere, and blazing energy, p[rovided by skilful use of classic camera techniques and a tremendous, kinetic edit. It's on the money.
TAICHI KIMURA:
"This video embodies the idea behind Chase and Status' track and [their short doc] RTRN II JUNGLE, going back to recapture and represent what was then with something original that's brimming with that energy today.
"I used various camera techniques because I wanted to create energy through the movement of the camera since the content is simple. When the presence of performer is so great then the portraits of the character can speak of their culture and background itself.
"As a director it’s important to set up a scene that matches the atmosphere an artist creates which gives us those moments worth capturing."
