Amber Run 'What Could Be As Lonely As Love' by Ed Hobson
Ed Hobson's video for Amber Run is a classic one-shot video straight from the heart of East End of London.
After having one too many at a karaoke night, a man gets thrown out of a pub and makes the drunken journey home, spinning around and lip syncing under the streetlights of Bethnal Green.
In a concept that many of us can relate to, this man is totally in his own world, dancing, jumping and bumping into strangers, as the effects of the heavy night start to wear off.
Shot in a stripped back, naturalistic way, the video for What Could Be As Lonely As Love focuses entirely on the actor, Gerrard Woodward, and his movement, with the flurry of fluorescent signage and yellow streetlamps providing the only artificial lighting. It's raw, fun and relatable, and a great accompaniment to the track.
