Tiz McNamara 'Moving Backwards' by Lavado Stubbs
Tiz McNamara's world is stuck in reverse, in Lavado Stubbs' video for Moving Backwards.
Shot in a single take - with the artist learning and performing the track in reverse - the video follows McNamara as he traverses downtown Toronto, crossing paths with a wild array of strangers.
Reaching the climax, McNamara is shown fighting with his girlfriend, before embracing for a final time.
The reverse lip-sync gag has been a staple of the genre ever since Jamie Thraves' video for Coldplay's The Scientist. But this project does more than tread the same water. It manages to pack an emotional and understated punch, giving it plenty of replay value.
