Roles are reversed in JAROP's thought-provoking promo for Akon's Ain't No Peace.

The video opens with a short prelude, playing out a scenario that is devastatingly all too common in society: a black man having his life threatened by police for something exceedingly minor - in this case Akon using his phone in his car. A struggle ensues, the officer's gun goes off...

Then script flips and we travel back in time, where the same officer is running from a mob, a hauntingly striking change of dynamic. Continuing in this vein, the video plays out with a complete role reversal, from the slave trade to current-day police slaughters.

The visual delivers a cutting polemic on society's attitudes to racism, whilst also extending a beacon of hope, something that is so desperately needed today.
