Pa Salieu 'Over There' [for The Legacy Series: Music x Fashion] by Filmawi
Filmawi has directed a celebration of black British fashion and music for The Legacy Series, presented by YouTube and GUAP, which premiered on December 17th. Here's one of the highlights of the show, Pa Salieu performing Over There.
Collaborating with Westfield London the event also included live performances and fashion by George the Poet, Tiana Major9, Ms Banks and NSG, showcasing black designers through runways and interviews hosted by Henrie Kwushue.
Filmawi added his unique surrealism and gritty visuals which compliments the series and adds a cinematic touch, taking the viewer through a journey of how and why the artists and designers are imperative parts of black British culture. All these elements makes this project linger in the mind way after in the mind and a great reminder of black British talent that isn’t celebrated enough.
