Krön 'Unexpect' by H+F

Director duo H+F - Helen Aschauer and Fabio Mota - direct a passion project exploring race and society, in their promo for Krön's Unexpect.

The video opens with a poignant quote from American novelist James Baldwin: "You don't know what's happening on the other side of the wall, because you don't want to."

A frank and honest message, which alludes to modern society's tendency of looking away from injustice, the video contrasts a lo-fi, voyeuristic setup of onlookers staring straight into camera, with a beautiful, emotive dance piece.

With choreography by Helen Aschauer, dancer Kila Munolum's movement encompasses frustration, intimacy and a raw energy, transcending the environment to something spiritual and authentic.
