AJ Tracey 'Little More Love' by KC Locke
KC Locke directs another cracker for AJ Tracey, capturing his superstar lifestyle in a hyperreality of aspiration, for Little More Love.
Released to coincide with Tracey's just-released blockbuster second album Flu Game, the video is a glossy, cinematic offering, featuring high-concept vignettes that boast a fantasy lifestyle - from the club to his hotel room at The Shard - and paying homage to iconic films such as Hype Williams' Belly.
It's got all the telltale markers of a KC Locke video - top-notch cinematography, fresh perspectives and dynamic performance - whilst feeling like another smooth step-up in both scope and scale.
These types of projects really allow me to show what I can bring to the table as a director.
"I really enjoyed collaborating with AJ Tracey on the visual launch for his new Flu Game album - bringing the vision to life not only on a music video level but as an entire album campaign,
directing various content pieces all leading up to the big game.
"These types of projects really allow me to show what I can bring to the table as a director and what creative freedom and trust within a team can achieve. The Little More Love video kicks off directly after our first video Anxious, flying through London leading us into a “Belly”-inspired club sequence where AJ pays homage to the great DMX - RIP.
"We then transition to follow AJ on his day-in-a-life experience as a high profile NBA basketball player. The whole video was shot on 35mm film supplied and processed by Kodak which allowed us to give this video a true '90s archive feel.
"The entire video is full of Easter eggs and campaign messaging to really make the world we wanted to create feel real. I really enjoyed working with AJ on his album and can’t wait for what’s next 🙏
"Big shout out to all the team around me - everyone put in so much work to make this one happy and quick turnaround (forever grateful)."
